Hi, I'm Holli — and I'm hooked on Mah Jongg.
As a tournament player, I truly love the strategy, excitement, and connection that Mah Jongg brings — and I'm passionate about helping others learn and grow their game.
Mah Jongg has become incredibly popular, and I've had several people ask about lessons. I'm excited to officially offer both beginner and advanced instruction so more players can experience everything this game has to offer.
My teaching philosophy
My approach is strategic yet approachable. We start with the fundamentals — reading the card, understanding tiles, the Charleston — and build up to decision-making, defensive play, and game flow.
For beginners, I strongly recommend groups of 4 so you finish lessons with a built-in group to keep playing with. Lessons happen at one participant's home, which keeps things comfortable and relaxed.
For experienced players, I offer focused 1-hour advanced strategy sessions on hand selection, tile efficiency, flexibility, and tournament-style thinking.
More than anything, I want you to leave feeling confident — and excited to play again.
